Shawn lives in Westlake with his family and has been actively involved in the community. He has served as a Lakewood City Councilmember, as Board member of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce, Startup Lakewood and Lakewood Alive.
He is active at St Christopher Church, the Rocky River Chamber of Commerce and Pillars. Occasionally, when all the work is done and the family is happy he squeezes in a round of golf.
